Marie McNally Classical Music

Marie is a classically trained clarinettist, and saxophonist.

She plays regularly with locally formed Terzetto, and the haunting Quartette Lunoire – set up to play the music of composer John Hymas. Marie also freelances for various organisations including the English Symphony Orchestra, the Elgar Chorale, works as a session musician for various theatre and media companies, and has performed solo recitals across the Midlands.

Her reportoire includes the much loved staples of the clarinet reportoire such as Poulenc’s Sonata for Clarinet, Saens-Saints Clarinet Sonata, and Schumann Fantasistucke. But Marie has a special love of the music by British Composers and recent programmes have centered around Arnold Bax, John Ireland, and Gerald Finzi.

One of the more fun engagements was leading a wedding party on foot across Worcester, playing Dixie clarinet – much like the pied piper of weddings!

Pied Piper of Weddings!Marie has also had works written for her, including the Suite Francais for Clarinet, Flute, Piano and choir, by the well respected choral director and composer, Donald Hunt.

Marie is available for freelance and session work, as well as weddings and special events. She can be contacted via the contact page.
